It’s time to clean out the fermented grain bucket. It’s become a bit stinky even for my tastes but is gold around the garden. The lovely microbe rich liquid that’s stinking up the place is a super food for the soil so doesn’t go to waste

Bringing home the goodness

Some folks get rid of weeds. We don’t we bring a selected few home to make beautiful liquid compost teas as fertilizer for Ligaya Garden.

New compost tea presses ready to go!

I spent part of yesterday afternoon whipping up two new 100 mm compost tea presses. They’re ready now to mount and make rich, nettle tea.

Cleaning out the worms

Every so often, the worms get a thorough clean out. Athena helps me as much as she can as we harvest all of the goodness created by some of the hardest workers at Ligaya Garden.

The big cover-up

Too much rain has been overflowing the aquaponics and starving plants of nutrients. It’s been flooding the backyard too. A big cover-up is in order.
