Free mushrooms!
Volunteer mushrooms popping up in the straw mulch during an unseasonably wet spell. I’m not sure what they are, but it shows that mychorrizae are growing, and that just may be the most important thing in the world.

Gourmet carpark mushrooms.
Mushrooms growing in a carpark close to the centre of town. I’m not sure what kind these are, but remember having eaten them before.

Puffballs
Some delicious puffballs. I like them at this stage when the spores have separated and I can chew the skin like jerky. Not exactly chef stuff, but I like em.

Lawn food.
Some delicious mushrooms growing in the lawn at Camp Coorong. I picked about 10 good ones and lightly fried them with garlic. The earthy taste mixed well with the garlic. Breakfast heaven.
