Sunchokes are forever.

Sunchokes, or Jerusalem artichokes are pushing their way up through the soil. Once established they will give tubets for us to eat for years to come. The bed is strategically placed to reduce the harsh summer sun on what will be our berry bed.

Going for goji.

One of two Goji berry plants planted before the really hot weather starts. They are supposed to be uber nutritious, especially in the antioxidant department. Goji plants apparently need little water when established and tolerate -15°C to 40°C, making them ideal for my area.
