The world’s a crazy place at present and we all need a little down time, so come along on Sat 7th of March join the crowds of people making their way to the Hills Environment Centre for a workshop about Apple Cider Vinegar and Ginger Beer! It was going to be just Apple Cider Vinegar but Jess spent days begging for information on Ginger Bugs and Ginger Beer, so I succumbed to the pressure and added them to the menu.

Click on the pic above or this link to see if you can be squeezed in… Prices are on a sliding scale too, so nobody gets left behind for lack of lucre.
We have a lot of info about each here on this website but it’s always much, much more fun to talk about them in person! You’ll go home with some Apple Cider Vinegar Mother and, if my timing is right, sample the newest batch of Ginger Beer, freshly fermented in our kitchen. The event says souled out but I reckon if you give Jess a call at the HEC, she might be persuaded to do something…she does love her Ginger Beer…

We’ve developed a good friendship with the Centre and have spoken at their Fungi Festival last year and behaved well enough to be invited back for the 2026 edition, we’ve shared a webinar on edible weeds with them and an “Intro to Kitchen Herbalism” workshop, so this is looking like becoming a habit. And that’s good because the more folks out there becoming empowered with basic remedy making skills, the better we all are. It’s not just me presenting there, others get a word in and there are some amazing webinars on Webinar Wednesdays – I attended the most mind-blowing webinar I’ve ever been in the audience for, the “How Soils Shape Minds” session back in December left me buzzing for days!
