Heatproofing your garden

Gawler Environment Centre are hosting a free webinar this Thursday at 7 (Adelaide time).

It’ll be presented by your’s truly and the topic is ‘Heatproofing your garden’.

It’s a pretty topical topic, with Summers tipped to get hotter and scorchier with each new year.

A lot of it is common sense but some of it is my usual out of the box thinking and covers solutions that we have used here at Ligaya Garden. You can find much of it on this website starting with the ‘Gardening in the heat‘ page, which has links to other pages on the topic. It’s a good place to start and if you have any questions, be sure to bring them up in the webinar

We’ll be looking at things like plant selection and positioning, microclimates, shade, water and mulch.

It’ll be a lot of fun and, even if it’s only the fun of watching me get a handle on broadcast technology, I’m sure we’ll all get something out of it.

It’s free and there’s still time to register here.
