There are too many books that I’ve used that, to add them to the main pages would really bog down the reading. Ligaya Garden Online isn’t an academic venture, nor is it intended to be an encyclopaedic coverage of herbs and all of the other good things we’ve written about. But, these are the books I commonly use as references, and have used for inspiration over the years, the websites are on the Online References. page. I decided to keep the two pages separate, otherwise this page could be huge. I’ve also included courses that I’ve done, just for your information.
One special book that stands out in memory is the Reader’s Digest book ‘Magic and Medicine of Plants‘. Anyone who’s been to one of my workshops will know that I usually recommend people avoid these big, glossy, encyclopaedic compilations but this one is special to me. The copy I have was my Mum’s and was the first book that I read when I became interested in healing. I gave it away at one time but it was returned to me when Mum was sick (she died of mesothelioma in 2016).
