Less waste by reusing zip ties

I use a lot of zip ties (or cable ties) around the house and garden. They are a quick and easy way to secure a lot of things temporarily or permanently.

Often, I’ve wondered about reusing them to save money and the amount of plastic we are putting in the recycling.

A quick search on YouTube this morning while I had some spare time yielded this technique to allow their reuse. Thanks ‘How To Raju’ for posting it!

All I’ve got to do now is get out of the habit of cutting the ends off and convince myself that an uncut zip tie is as beautifil as a tidily trimmed one!
