Upcoming “Intro to Herbalism” workshop

I’ve not often promoted our workshops on this website before. To be honest, I’m not good at promoting stuff at all but we have to live and learn. So from now on, I’ll be letting everyone know about upcoming talks, tours, walks and workshops on our new Events page.

We presented a great herbal workshop at Andrew’s Urban Farm not long ago.

Anyways, here’s the first for this year –

Intro to Home Herbalism at The Precinct.

We have had a great relationship with the Precinct, from having coffee in the community garden and in the Healthy Food Co. (let’s face it, I’ll have coffee anywhere!) to attending or presenting workshops there.

If you check out the pic of their term 1 timetable below, you’ll see that The Precinct holds all kinds of teaching spaces and workshops, so if you are in Playford or can get there, it’s well worth following their facebook page or signing up for their newsletter. Follow them on Eventbrite too to get notifications of upcoming events.

On the 5th of March, I’m presenting an ‘Intro to home herbalism’ from 10am to 1-ish. It’ll be a run down on some of the things that you can do at home to prepare teas, infusions, oils and tinctures from common herbs, in your own kitchen and will cover a few things that are covered in-depth on our Making Remedies pages here on our website.

There’ll be nothing too complicated – if you can cook or at least make a cuppa, you can be a kitchen herbalist! Please bring a couple of jam or pickle jars (with lids), some of your favourite herb and if you have a favourite cup or mug that you drink herbal teas from while you put your feet up, bring it along too! We’ll be providing some basic oils but if you have anything flashy like Avocado or Jojoba oils that you want to use, please bring them.

To book, click this link or click the pic about the workshop above. I look forward to seeing you there!
