New wicking beds

The last couple of weeks have seen big changes in the front garden.

After the mulching and new paths, I was looking at what scrap material we had and found two half pickle barrels.

So… I reused some of the gravel, some plastic that I was gifted, old PVC pipe, polypipe and shade cloth to make two lovely new wicking beds. The only thing we had to buy was the potting mix.

I photographed the whole build and promise to do a ‘how to’ on how to make them, as well as a little wicking bed theory.
